We met a real estate billionaire. I asked him what advice he'd give his 20-year-old self. His answer: 'Go as big as possible; it takes the same amount of work.' How...?
The 'how' is the part we've been working on trying to figure out. It's hard to do big projects without a track record of small projects or a track record of doing big projects for someone else.
Once you have a track record, get a Co-GP (co-general partner) & go as big as you can. It does take the same amount of work, maybe less. The level of professionalism and service when paying consultants such as an architect $500,000 vs $5,000 is night and day.
